Daphne is shown to be an anthropomorphic southern belle rabbit with blonde hair, who wears a long-sleeved black and purple striped shirt, and a big puffy purple dress.
She was first thought of after Babs, along with Buster and Plucky, who got tired of doing comedy. She was first imagined on a rock surrounded by waves, as she waited for her beloved to return to her. Then, during her storyboard design, one of the animators thinks it would be funny if while on the beach, she tripped and fell on a jellyfish, but Babs explains to the staff members that she wants romantic stuff in the cartoon, reminding him that the cartoon is not a comedy at all. After the cartoon is done, Buster, Babs and Plucky arrive to the screening room to show the cartoon to Mr. DeVille and his yesmen.
In the opening cartoon, we see Daphne carrying a heavy trunk. She sits on top of the trunk and sobs miserably about how heavy the trunk is, when Suddenly, Lance Copperhead sneaks behind her and asks her if she needs any help. Then, the lovestruck Daphne tells him yes, then faints. Afterwards, Lance throws the Trunk into the ship, then swings the fainted Daphne into the ship as well.
Later in the cartoon, Duke Pluckius appears and takes Daphne from Lance. During the battle, Lance pulls out twin rocket launchers and sinks the ship. While the ship is sinking, Daphne tells both Lance and Duke that she can only love one, then faints again, only to have no one catch her as she falls into the ocean, ending the cartoon.
- In the cartoon, Dawn of Despair, Daphne represents Romantic tragedy genres.
- Daphne is the only character of three to get the most lines in the cartoon.
